Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1,000 ft above the valley floor. It is located on the Arizona–Utah border, near the Four Corners area. The valley lies within the territory of the Navajo Nation Reservation and is accessible from U.S. Highway 163.
Harriet Feagin is a photographer /artist in West Texas. Her photography spans the spectrum from abstracts and still life to landscapes. She has been fortunate enough to travel to most of our fifty states and several countries abroad with her camera in hand. Harriet resides in Plainview, Texas with her husband, a minister, and although he does not share her passion for photography, he is very supportive. Wonderfully framed image. It looks as if one could use the tree as a base for a sling shot with the sky as a target through that magnificent opening in the rock. Love the colors and that very strong edged shadow separating the two main elements in this great capture ! ! ! Well done......
