Description
The Nubble Lighthouse is perched atop a large rock off the York Beach in Maine. It is perhaps the most photographed lighthouse in the whole world. It was constructed in 1879 and was painted white in 1902. It is automated as is most all, or all, of the lighthouses now days. The last light keeper retired in 1989.
