An abandoned home sits behind a fence with a storm approaching. This just looked lonely to me. Rural North Dakota.

The scale emphasizes just how isolated this abandoned home is. From its size, I can imagine it filled with family life once but now only memories rattle around inside waiting for someone to reclaim them. This was one of my two picks of the day (pod's) in the Best of Minimalism group for January 30. Group features there depend on member participation - please join us in selecting your favorites.

Captivating work Harriet! The contrasts between light and dark are perfect! I thought this was in Texas! :-) L/F
Harriet Feagin replied:
Thank you, Joan. It looks like the Texas I live in but it isn't. ND is a state with lots of open spaces.

Beautiful convergence of clouds above and behind the home. My minimalism group POD for 1/27/24.
