Sims, North Dakota is a beautiful near-ghost town, founded in what was at the time a somewhat remote spot on the prairie of Dakota Territory, about 35 miles west of Mandan. The Northern Pacific arrived in 1879 and extra boxcars were set aside to be used as businesses and shelter until a proper town could be constructed. This house is a what is left of the towns dwellings. A church and a parsonage also remail.
Harriet Feagin is a photographer /artist in West Texas. Her photography spans the spectrum from abstracts and still life to landscapes. She has been fortunate enough to travel to most of our fifty states and several countries abroad with her camera in hand. Harriet resides in Plainview, Texas with her husband, a minister, and although he does not share her passion for photography, he is very supportive.
