Description
The view is of the entrance on the west side of Mission San Jose. A rain had just ended and the puddles can be seen on the brick patio. The arches compliment the cross topped dome of the main chapel. Mission San Jose is one of the largest missions established by the Spaniards in the 1600's long before the United States was born. The skill of the Indians who built the structure and the planning by those missionary priests is evident in this excellent example of Spanish architecture.
